John Debney to Score HOCUS POCUS Sequel

The upcoming Disney film HOCUS POCUS 2 is a sequel to the 1993 fantasy-comedy film HOCUS POCUS. It stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones reprising their original roles, while Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, and Sam Richardson join the cast in new roles. Taking place twenty-nine years after the events of the original film, the sequel begins when three young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern day Salem, and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world.

Composer John Debney, who scored the original film, has come onboard to score the sequel.

The film is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on September 30, 2022
