Lorne Balfe to Score Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Slingshot’ From Bluestone Entertainment
Busy composer Lorne Balfe (BLACK WIDOW, HIS DARK MATERIALS, THE WHEEL OF TIME) is set to reteam with director Mikael Håfström (1408, DERAILED) on the upcoming psychological sci-fi thriller SLINGSHOT. The film, starring Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne, Emily Beecham, Tomer Capone and David Morrissey, tells the story of an astronaut who struggles to keep his grip on reality during a potentially fatally-compromised mission to the Saturnian moon. Balfe had scored Håfström’s previous sci-fi feature, OUTSIDE THE WIRE, which premiered earlier this year on Netflix. SLINGSHOT will start production next month in Budapest, Hungary.
