Wednesday (Addams, of course) – First Teaser Trailer Released

From the imagination of Tim Burton comes WEDNESDAY – a twisted new series coming soon to Netflix, based on the Charles Addams cartoons and the television and film adaptations thereof. WEDNESDAY — starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzman (Gomez). Gwendoline Christie and Christina Ricci also star. The new series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.

Danny Elfman (SPIDER-MAN, BATMAN, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS) and Chris Bacon (SOURCE CODE, GNOMEO & JULIET, BATES MOTEL) are handling the show’s music – Elfman is writing the theme and is collaborating with Bacon to score the show, as filmmusicreporter previously reported.

WEDNESDAY is set to premiere in late 2022 on Netflix, and will consist of eight episodes.
