MIDSOMMAR soundtrack released – score by Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak)

MIDSOMMAR OST cdThe potent latest entry in the burgeoning folk horror subgenre is MIDSOMMAR, a US-Swedish co-production is written and directed by Ari Aster, whose feature film directorial debut, 2018’s HEREDITARY starring Toni Collette, was critically praised and won several awards from various Film Critics Associations. The film is about a young couple who travel to Sweden to visit a rural hometown’s fabled mid-summer festival; what begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

The film’s music is composed by Bobby Krlic, a British musician and music producer who uses the stage name The Haxan Cloak (TRIPLE 9, SEVEN SECONDS, SHOOTER).

Milan Records has released the official soundtrack album for MIDSOMMAR, which is available on CD from Amazon and mp3 download from these sources. A vinyl edition is also in the works (pre-orderable from Artists Arena).
