Horror Comedy BODIES BODIES BODIES Soundtrack Released Featuring Score by Disasterpeace

BODIES BODIES BODIES is a black comedy horror thriller directed by Halina Reijn. The film stars Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Myha’la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, Rachel Sennott, Lee Pace, and Pete Davidson. The film follows a group of rich 20-somethings who plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion – but a party game turns deadly in this fresh and funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.

The film premiered at South by Southwest on March 14, 2022, and was released on August 5, 2022, by A24.

The film’s eerie music score was composed by Disasterpeace (IT FOLLOWS, UNDER THE SILVER LAKE, MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON), aka Richard Vreeland. A 9-track music score album was released on August 10th, 2022 by A24 Music. The label, joined by Warner Music UK, previously released Charli XCX’s original song “Hot Girl” from the movie as a digital single.

“The murder-mystery-themed BODIES BODIES BODIES sets all the debauchery in motion across the imposing chambers of the estate,” wrote Tomris Laffly in his review for RogerEbert.com. “Before we know it, the posse loses all power and bloody bodies actually start falling one by one, against the backdrop of a raging storm and Disasterpeace’s increasingly alarming score,” while David Lewis in the SFChronicle, describing the film as Gen Z slasher  movie, remarked, “There is a strong sense of malaise underlying all the characters, and Disasterpeace’s propulsive score amps up the deranged desperation of the partygoers instead of going for cheap scares.”
