Theodore Shapiro Cue from Apple TV’s SEVERANCE Not Included on OST Album Has Been Released as a Standalone Single!

Endeavor Content announces the release today a new single taken from the Apple TV+ series SEVERANCE: “Music of Wellness” composed by Theodore Shapiro. The track, initially not included in the score album (released digitally February 18; see my original news report here), has been released due to overwhelming demand.  he unforgettable music appears in Episode 2: “Half Loop,” and is heard as Irv has a wellness check with counselor Ms. Casey.

SEVERANCE is Apple TV+ 9-episode science fiction mystery drama in which the memories of office workers have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. When a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.

Theodore Shapiro (YELLOWJACKETS, THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE, (TROPICAL THUNDER, IDIOCRACY, JENNIFER’S BODY, DODGEBALL) has scored the series. His multi-faceted score features vivid piano, electronics and orchestra that enhance both whimsical moments as well as the darkly sinister side of the mysterious workplace thriller. The series directed by Ben Stiller and created by Dan Erickson and starring Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette; it’s first season ran from Feb. 18th through April  premieres on Apple TV+ February 18, and has been renewed for a second season.

Says Shapiro: “Although SEVERANCE can be classified as science-fiction, at its heart it’s a mystery. The music of the score, built around four repeating chords, is a gigantic question mark.  As the mystery unfolds, so do variations on our theme.”

The standalone single is now available at these links.
